I backed at the $35 or higher level last time. Do I need to choose Double Time to get the Hint Book?

No, you’re covered. We decided to add a digital Hint Book and strategy guide to the game, but we will make it available to anyone who chose the Sophomore ($35) level or higher in the 2012 campaign. The new $20 tier is designed specifically for backers who chose the Freshman level last time and want to upgrade their rewards this time. Last updated: Tue, May 12 2015 2:04 am EDT

I backed at (any) level last time. Do I need to back again to get Hero-U?

No, of course not! We will be merging the two sets of backer lists, and sending rewards out to everyone according to your reward tier in either campaign. Thank you very much for believing in us so early in the project! Last updated: Tue, May 12 2015 2:09 am EDT

I backed the project, and have not ordered any new add-ons, but BackerKit says I still owe money. What should I do?

If this happens, it is because of a mistake in our records, or because you did not add enough to your pledge for add-ons ordered on Kickstarter. Please immediately contact BackerKit support or Hero-U support ([email protected]). We will look into the problem, fix it if it is our error, and respond within 3 days. If you backed in either campaign and did not order add-ons, you will never need to pay more.

Will Hero-U support Android or iOS tablets? How about game consoles? Cell phones?

Currently the answer is “No”. Once the game is complete for Windows, Mac OSX, and Linux, we will look into other platforms. The most likely ones are iOS and Android tablets. We don’t think Hero-U will be much fun on a cell phone because this is a text-centric game. Supporting consoles is challenging for a small company, but we will look into it if the game is successful on PC platforms. Last updated: Tue, May 12 2015 4:54 pm EDT

Can I pledge for a t-shirt, baseball cap, meep, or other rewards as add-ons?

Yes for some. We will add some add-ons to the main page over the next few days. These will include a new t-shirt design, a new baseball cap design, Shawn’s Lucky Coin, and various digital rewards. They will not include limited-edition items from the first campaign such as meeps and the Hero’s Last Stand t-shirt. Last updated: Tue, May 12 2015 2:39 am EDT

I backed at (any) level last time and want to upgrade to a higher tier! How do I do that?

Awesome, thank you! Start by choosing the $10 “Supporter” tier (or the $20 “Double Time” tier if you prefer). Instead of pledging $10 or $20, pledge the difference between the tier you want and the pledge you made in 2012. For example, if you backed at $75 and want to upgrade to the $200 collector’s edition, pledge $125 this time. We’ll get your upgrade details in the survey after the campaign closes. BackerKit FAQ

What is BackerKit?

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.

How does BackerKit work?

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.

I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?

The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.

Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.

To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.

How do I update my shipping address?

BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.

When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?

That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.

I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?

As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
